My kind of town, Chicago is

So it has been a while since we got back from our trip with my family to Chicago, I had to compile pictures. Let me say one thing first, I loved it there. What an awesome city, the architecture is amazing and it has a great energy. Here are some pictures to document what a great time we had.

All in all we had a great time. I was very impressed with the city. Maybe if we had visited the city in February I would be slightly less enamored but the week of July we were there left me in love with the city.

Not Feelin so Hot

Today I had the stomach flu and had to stay home from work. It sucked. I threw up and I spent the entire day on the couch, watching TV, napping and feeling generally horrible.

I get the stomach flu about every two years and it seems like it is always in the summer. The last time I got it was the night before my Grandpa's funeral, not the best timing. The time before that, I was in Prague with my family, not really wanting to spend a day at our hotel next to the toilet while I could be touring the city.

I don't know what caused my sickness this time but I am denying that it was food poisoning, mainly because I made dinner last night and I don't really want to think that I gave it to myself, plus Eric did not get it and he ate the same thing that I did last night. I am just going to say it was this bug that's going around and hope that Eric did not catch it.

Dust you sholders (and everything else you own) off

So were back from Chicago and it was awesome, I will soon give an update. We got back from Chi town just in time for this though.

I don't know if you heard about the giant dust storm that hit Phoenix, but it was pretty crazy.

Eric and I were out at dinner and all of a sudden all these people were staring at our table. I was thinking, wow I must look really good, people cannot take their eyes off me. Then I realized we were right next to the window and a giant dust storm was going on outside.

The next day the entire city was covered in dust. No bueno. Oh and then a girl in my office found a scorpion on her desk!? Were do I live, Agrabah? Was this all a result of an evil plan thought up by Jafar? (In case you are thoroughly confused by these last few comments, they are a reference to the Disney movie Aladdin)

This Scottsdale place is crazy.
