Ez and I are heading off to Chicago with my fam. I am very excited, I have never been there but some of my favorite movies are filmed there, the first and foremost being Ferris Bueller's Day Off. In honor of Ferris I plan on crashing a parade and dancing to the Beatles. I will be there over the 4th of July so hopefully they will have a parade for that I can crash. Fingers Crossed.
The next being The Fugitive. This movie is solid, when ever I pass it while channel surfing I cant help myself but stop. I mean your really not going to find anything better.
The last film I am thinking of is Home Alone. Macaulay Culkin was basically the cutest little kid ever and kind of (excuse my french) a bad ass. If I was home alone and two burglars were breaking in I pretty sure I wouldn't be balsie enough to have fought them off with house hold items and after they were thoroughly humiliated say "You guys give up yet? Or are you thirsty for more?". Yeah Kevin McCallister was a bad ass.
Anyways I am really excited about Chicago, and even more excited about seeing my family, but have no doubt I will give you a full report of my adventures when I get back.

I heart New York
Last weekend was my birthday. I turned 25 years old. A quarter of a century! In honor of the big day, Eric took me to New York. It was incredibly fun and probably my best birthday ever.
Here I am at my favorite presidents birthplace. In case you don't know who my favorite prez is or you can't read the plaque, this is the birthplace of Theodore Roosevelt.
Here is the front door. Pretty nice digs Teddy, at least from the outside.
Here I am at Serindipity consuming as many calories as possible. I had forgotten how good banana splits are, now I remember.
Eric and his frozen hot chocolate.
Central Park.
Rowing a boat in central park.
Eric did most of the rowing, mainly because I was not very good at it.
Were on a boat.
At Dylan's Candy Bar, a candy shop that has three floors. That is my kind of place.
Some of the other things we did that did not get documented in pictures was see Jersey Boys which I loved and Chicago. Cristy Brinkley was staring in Chicago which was interesting because she is not a singer or an actress. I mean but do you really need to sing to be in a musical (I am being sarcastic, you do need to be able to sing to be in a musical)?
All in all the trip was awesome. The only downfall was we could not bring Karl, oh and that when we got home it was 110 degrees. Yikes people weren't lying about Phoenix in the summer.

One Day More
Ez and I went to Les Misérables last Saturday. It was great, the music was amazing and it is a great story. When I was younger we had soundtrack to the musical, I would sing to all the songs but my favorite to sing along to was "Do You Hear The People Sing". I preferred this one because it fit my low vocal range the best, that is probably because it is sung by men.
After watching the musical I decided I wanted to read the book. I have started reading it and I am about 50 pages in, I only have about 1400 pages left. It will probably take the rest of the year for me to finish it but it is a good book so far and I am excited to get farther into it.
Eric and I are off to NY for the weekend and more musicals. Yea musicals!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year
As the title of this post suggests, it is my favorite time of year, not because it is almost my birthday or because it is the beginning of summer (which I am learning is a bad thing when you live in Phx), it is because So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD if your into abbreviation) has started.
SYTYCD is my favorite show. For those of you that don't know the premise of the show, I would say the best way to describe it is like American Idol for dancers. the dancing and choreography is amazing and the only negative on the show are the drunk antics of judge Mary Murphy. I cant wait to see what they pull out this year but I for one am hoping for a lot of Wade Robson choreography.
